- Sounds for all the world like a cable fault to me, probably near where it
- enters the mouse casing. If you are reasonably competent with a soldering
- iron, I would suggest that you cut off the last 5cm or so of the cable and
- reterminate it in the mouse (about 6 or 7 wires if memory serves me
- correctly). Make sure no connections get crossed over in the process
- though! If it still doesn't work, try the same thing at the plug end.
